LESSON ONE MEMORY VERSES:

In order to live a Christian life you must first be a Christian. If you were to die today are you 100% sure you would go to heaven? What does the Bible teach? Let’s find out.
1. JESUS IS OUR FOUNDATION FOR SALVATION
a. I Corinthians 3:10,11 “According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon. For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.”
b. In building our Christian life we need a solid foundation. Who is our foundation?
2. YOU CAN "KNOW" THAT YE HAVE ETERNAL LIFE
a. I John 5:13 “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.”
b. Many people hope they will go to heaven when they die, but the bible says you can "know that ye have eternal life".
c. know=> have knowledge of the fact or to perceive with certainty.
d. According to the Bible, can you know that you will have eternal life?
3. WE ARE ALL SINNERS
a. Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”
b. Sin is when we do something wrong or transgress the law of God. Are you a sinner?
c. Have you ever sinned?
4. THE PRICE FOR SIN IS HELL
a. Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death;”
b. Revelation 20:14,15 “And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”
c. There is a price to pay for your sin. According to the Bible the only way you can pay for your own sin is to die and go where?
5. JESUS CHRIST PAID THAT PRICE IN FULL

6. JESUS IS NOT A WAY TO HEAVEN BUT THE WAY
a. John 14:1-6 “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
b. Acts 4:10,12 “Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. // Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”

7. JESUS ALONE CAN SAVE YOU FROM HELL
a. Ephesians 2:8,9 “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
b. Is heaven a gift or are you saved by your good works?
c. Do you get to go to heaven because you are a member of a church?
d. Do you get to go to heaven because you read the bible?
e. Do you get to go to heaven because you have been baptized?
f. Do you get to go to heaven because you are a good person?
8. THE SIMPLICITY THAT IS IN CHRIST
a. 2 Corinthians 11:3,13-15 “But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. // For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel, for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.”
b. There is simplicity in ____________ therefore the way to heaven is simple.
c. Are there false apostles?
d. Is Satan real?
e. Your end is either Heaven or Hell. Who preaches your end shall be according to your works?
f. Should we listen to God or Satan?
9. ASK JESUS TO SAVE YOU

c. Is the phrase “shall be saved” a hope or a know?
d. Have you ever asked Jesus to save you?
e. When did you get saved?
f. If you have not been saved will you ask Jesus to save you right now?
10. HOW LONG IS ETERNAL OR EVERLASTING LIFE?
a. John 3:15-16 "That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
b. Once I have been saved, can I lose my salvation?
c. If I sin, do I have to get saved again?
d. How many of your sins did Jesus die on the cross for?
e. How many of your sins did you trust Jesus to pay for?
f. If Jesus paid for all of your sins on the cross and you trusted Him to pay for all your sins, would it make any sense to die and go to hell and pay for those sins a second time?
g. Once I have been saved, can I lose my salvation?
11. WHEN YOU RECEIVE CHRIST, YOU BECOME A CHILD OF GOD.
a. John 1:12 "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:"
12. WHO DOES GOD CHASTEN AND WHY?
a. Hebrews 12:5-8 "And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons."
b. Who does God chasten and why?
c. Does God chasten you because he hates you?
d. What should you do when you are chastened by God?
e. If you are being chastened by God have you lost your eternal life?
f. Who is never chastened by God?
